Choose your moment
From picking your anthem to syncing with your team, PlatePlaya has every tool to make your walk-up legendary.
Search millions of songs and preview 30-second clips right in the app. Find the track that gets your player fired up.
Pick the exact clip you want. Drag the slider to start from the drop, the chorus, or wherever hits hardest.
Record a PA-style voice intro to play on its own or with music. "Now batting, number 4..." just like the pros.
Create teams with custom colors, add your whole roster, and set batting order with drag-and-drop. Import rosters from CSV.
Game-day playback with voice intros. Mark absent players for this game while keeping their songs and lineup positions.
No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads. Every feature is free for the whole team, forever.
Create a team, pick your colors, and add every player on the roster. Or import the whole lineup from a CSV.
Search for each player's walk-up song, clip the best part, and record a voice intro to play on its own or with music.
Open Game Mode, tap through the batting order, and each player's configured introduction, song, or both plays in turn.
PlatePlaya is live on iOS and Android.
Yes. Record and save an introduction on the player’s profile, then tap Play in Game Mode. No song is required. The introduction plays once and advances through the active lineup just like other walk-ups.
PlatePlaya automatically levels recorded announcements and lowers overlapping walk-up music while the voice plays, then smoothly restores the music. The same processing applies to previews, existing recordings, and new recordings; your original audio is preserved. Results depend on the recording and speaker. Record close to the microphone in a quiet place for the clearest voice.
Yes. On iOS and Android, Game Mode keeps the screen awake while the app is active in the foreground, including between songs and while playback is paused. Normal screen timeout resumes when you leave Game Mode or switch away from the app. Returning to Game Mode keeps it awake again. You can still lock the device manually; PlatePlaya never wakes or unlocks it, or changes screen brightness.
From your team roster or Game Mode, open Edit Lineup to drag players into batting order and turn off Present for anyone absent. Changes save automatically; Back or Done returns to the screen you opened it from. They stay on the team, but playback and the next-batter list skip them. Restore them to return to their original lineup position. Attendance is saved per team across app restarts until you choose Start New Game, which stops playback, marks everyone present, and selects the first player. Marking the current batter absent stops their audio and selects the next present player without starting music. If everyone is absent, restore a player to resume.
A walk-up song is the music that plays when a baseball player walks up to the plate to bat. In the pros, every player has their own signature song. PlatePlaya brings that same experience to youth baseball, little league, travel ball, and softball — any level, any field.
Yes, completely free. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads, no player limits. Every feature is available to the whole team, forever.
PlatePlaya is available on Android and iOS. It works on phones and tablets. Just connect a Bluetooth speaker to your device and you're ready for game day.
Search for any song, preview a 30-second clip, and trim it to the exact part you want. Then record a PA-style voice intro ("Now batting, number 4...") that plays over the music. On game day, open Game Mode, tap through the batting order, and each player's configured introduction, song, or both plays in turn.
No. PlatePlaya uses Apple Music's free 30-second preview clips for song search and playback. No Spotify, Apple Music, or any other subscription is required.
Absolutely. While PlatePlaya is designed with baseball in mind, it works great for softball, kickball, or any sport where you want to play walk-up music for your players.
